Scooter rides, events, and                            dates to remember

May 24-25 Canberra Swarm
The swarm is joining the Sydney SC on their overnight run to Jamberoo. Jamberoo is 200kms away. 

May 25  Atomic Scooter Riders  - the scooter tourers.  Ride to Young. Meet at Shell Dickson at 9:00am, coffee at Boorowa, lunch at the bakery in Young, approx 380kms. Highway capable scooters only.

June 4  Atomic Scooter Club  - the scooter tourers.  Meeting at  Old Canberra Inn, Lyneham from 7:00pm.

June 7  Atomic Scooter Riders  - the scooter tourers.  Ride to Harden. Meet at Shell Dickson at 9:30am, coffee at Yass, lunch  in Harden, approx 300kms. Highway capable scooters only.

June 9 Canberra Swarm
For Vespa riders and under 200cc scooters. Meeting at All Bar Nun, O'Connor Shops from 6pm - ride for a bite to eat at 6:45

June 21 Learners provisional test practise session.
4 to 5pm at the testing facility behind the motorini scooters workshop entrance at Bellona court.
Practise for the licence test with other scooter riders - please note - it is important to get off your L's as soon as possible if you want to ride in NSW at over 80 kph!

June 22   Atomic Scooter Riders/Swarm invitation.  Ride to Captains Flat for a massive pancake stack. Meet at Spotlight Carpark Qbn at 10:00am.

July 2  Atomic scooter club  - the scooter tourers
7:00pm Old Canberra Inn, Lyneham

August .. Gluhwein Run
Canberra's Vintage, Veteran & Classic Motorcycle Club has an annual Vintage/Classic ride morning with Breakfast.
Vespa and Lambretta riders are especially invited, 9:30am at the Cotter Reserve BBQ's.

... Motorcycle and Scooter Lawn Bowls / Bocce Challenge - Ducatisti and scooteristi battle it out on the greens.  ...pm at the Canberra Bowls Club in Forrest - $10 for the game with bowls hire.  Wear flat shoes

November ..  Motorcycle and Scooter Economy Ride
9:00 am at the Caltex service centre in Braddon.  Who has the best fuel economy?  A fun ride organised by the Ducati Club of Canberra.  $10 entry includes lunch.

December ..  Annual Toy Run - all ACT riders get together to support the annual Christmas appeal for both the St Johns and Salvation Army.  Collections of Toys, Money and tinned food are handed over at the end of the ride.  Meet at 9:30 for a 10:00 am departure from Old Parliament House.

March ..   Auto Italia
The big day on the ACT calendar for Vespa, Lambretta and other Italian scooter riders. See exotic Italian cars, bikes and scooters.  Display is from 10am to 2pm on the lawns of old Parliament House.  Scooter riders entering/displaying their scooters should be there before 9:30am - fee is $5.   Scooter categories are;

May ..     Two Wheel Winter Appeal.  Motorcyclist's of all persuasions are invited to donate money, warm clothing, blankets and non-perishable food.  Ride from Old Parliament House (9:30am for a 10am departure)  to Garema Place in the City, via the Woden roundabout.

Group members take full responsibility for their own persons and any property belonging to their own persons while taking part in any rides or activities organized by individuals or groups of individuals associated with the group.  All members participate in group activities at their own risk.  The organisers of any rides or activities will not and cannot be held liable for any loss or damage to property, or injury to riders that may be taking part in any rides or activities that may be organised by members or groups of members of the group
