Australian National Scooter Rally 2005, Dubbo NSW Friday 18th to Sunday 20th November!

Dubbo in rural NSW is the venue for the 2005 Australian National Scooter Rally.

Dubbo can be accessed from major centres in NSW including Sydney, Newcastle as well as the ACT. Scooterists are already booked in from as far away as Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane, all of which require a two day ride to get to Dubbo.

A GROUP RIDE FROM CANBERRA LEAVING THE DICKSON SHELL SERVICE STATION AT 9:00AM ON THE 18TH.  THE RIDE TO DUBBO IS 400KMS.
CANBERRA TO YASS 60KMS - FILL UP AT THE HIGHWAY SERVICE STATION  ON THE YASS BY-PASS.
YASS TO COWRA 130KMS, STOP AT BOOROWA FOR A COFFEE, COWRA FOR PETROL.
COWRA TO CANOWINDRA 35KMS - CANOWINDRA FOR LUNCH.
CANOWINDRA TO MOLONG TO DUBBO 180KMS.  MOLONG FOR PETROL.

A welcome BBQ awaits arrivals at The Castlereagh Hotel on the Friday, park up your scooters in the secure car park and grab a bite to eat.

Saturday morning sees the 'Show and Shine' followed by a 'Treasure Hunt Quiz Run' leading to lunch at a local winery. The afternoon finishes with a mass ride back into Dubbo, which will get the cameras rolling, to visit the award winning Old Gaol. Anyone who has not had some fun by this stage will be asked to stay behind!

Saturday evening starts off with an optional $10. dinner at the Castlereagh followed by an evening of entertainment with Sydney band The Signals, one of Australia's best ska and reggae bands who play a mixture of their own great material and a few covers. Nate from The Hive Scooter Shop in Sydney will also be spinning some power pop, soul, ska and reggae!

Sunday morning and some fun activities have been planned, followed by a full Sunday Lunch at The Castlereagh and an afternoon of leisure before departing on Monday morning.

Tickets for the weekend are $45 and include:

* Friday night welcome BBQ

* Entry to the Show and Shine

* Entry to the 'Treasure Hunt Quiz' and the chance to win some major prizes

* Light Lunch at a local winery along with a wine tasting

* Tour of Dubbo's award winning Old Gaol

* Saturday night live entertainment and awards

Tickets are $45 until 31 July; they are then $50 until 31 October and $55 from then on, so get in early and book your tickets and accommodation soon!

Dubbo also offers other attractions, including the Western Plains Zoo, great for family members who aren't scootering during the week-end.
